A special exhibit celebrating the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Armadillo World Headquarters will occur on November 19, 20 and 21 at Pershing Hall on East 5th Street. What are the times? NOON to 5pm each day.

This event is Free! Hosted by the fine folks at The Pershing, donations will be accepted and the proceeds will benefit the Austin Museum of Popular Culture.

AusPop will display a selection of the museum's vast AWHQ poster collection along with some fabulous photos, album covers and ephemera. A special playlist of music by bands who performed at the AWHQ will be shared along with a rolling slideshow of other AWHQ visuals. BUT WAIT! There's more: attendees will be treated to a special video of an AWHQ documentary that's in the works. Something else really special is Sunday, November 21- which is designated as the day for AWHQ employees to gather and hold a reunion.
